Trapeza Collection for Malte Gormsen

Grounded and robust, the Trapeza Collection draws inspiration from the search for an archetypal form, ultimately arriving at the geometric shape of the trapezium. By combining and adapting this inherently strong and stable form in various ways, the design, function, and name converge in the creation of a table.

The name Trapeza originates from Greek, translating to “a little table,” reinforcing the collection’s conceptual and functional foundation.

The Trapeza Collection is currently in development to include a chair, a bench and a stool.

First presented at Maison&Object in Paris in 2024 as a part of the Rising Talent Award, the Trapeza Collection is produced by Danish Cabinetmaker Malte Gormsen. For more information on the collection, please contact malte@maltegormsen.dk
