Christian Hammer Juhl and Jade Chan are a design duo with a sentimentality for the hidden life and stories behind objects. Through carefully balancing traditional and contemporary form of expressions and techniques, they find joy in giving form and function to the stories they uncover around material origins and historical traditions. Their practice emphasizes slow, intentional craftsmanship, with each piece conceived deliberately and distinctly.
Currently based in Copenhagen, they completed their education at the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2018. Christian+Jade have been represented by Studio Oliver Gustav, Jacqueline Sullivan Gallery and Etage Projects and have exhibited at Collectible, Nomad Circle, The Mindcraft Project, Triennale di Milano, Schloss Hollenegg for Design, Chart Art Fair, Maison&Objet Rising Talent Award and more. They are the current reciepent of the Danish Arts Foundation's 3-year work grant.
